Wine
Bass Phillip Reserve Pinot Noir is made only in exceptional years. It draws from just five rows of vines in a closely planted north-east facing vineyard in the Leongatha estate.
The fruit is cropped at incredibly low levels to achieve flavour development. With undivided attention to detail, and an insatiable passion for quality, Bass Phillip produce extraordinary wines.
To minimize the bruising effects pumping can have on texture, pumps are avoided. Instead buckets are used to transfer the newly fermented wine from vat to press. The wine matures for 20 months in 100 per cent new Allier French oak.
Deep purple crimson, Bass Phillip Reserve Pinot Noir is a wine of power, beguiling complexity, purity and elegance.
Acclaimed as Australia's finest Pinot Noir. Cellaring potential is 12 years.
